We landed on a double header at 8:04 this morning and Capt Victor put the Tranquilo in reverse. We put a ballyhoo bait in the long rigger clip and as we trolled in reverse while fighting the double header sailfish another fish grabbed the bait. We jumped off the triple but got the double. As the long riggers were slowly going out to reset the spread another fish picked up the right long. 10 Minutes later we had a 4 fish and then came the Blue Marlin!
We estimated the fish around 350 and after a 40 minute fish on the 20lb Shimano BFC Talica we got the clean release. It was gonna be a good day for us. Tranquilo had a fun day on the Pacific Ocean. On any other day we would consider a tournament success. But the Tar Heel had a world class day today releasing 47 and has taken a commanding lead with 8400 points followed by Wire We Here with 7500 points, Trophy Box with 7400 Points and Pescadora with 6100 Points. But anything can happen with so many shots at multiples. We managed to jump 13 spots from 25th to 12th. Our day consisted of 21 sailfish releases and Amanda’s Blue Marlin release. We had a good day with fish coming to our Squidnation Killer Pink Rubber Mauler Squid Dredge
Tomorrow is the last day and we all are having an incredible time fishing the tournament. We will send a report announcing the winners. If you care to listen to the action live Check it out here. Los Suenos Signature Series. Time for dinner at Wishbones and bed. Adios
